I love being on a stand-up board you can see so much more. Like wildlife in the water around you, waves coming in on the horizon, and SUPing just gives you a better perspective. Above all, if you are tired you can SIT down, or even lay down. The standing and the paddling combined gives a workout of your complete musculature system. Any type of SUPing you choose, flat-water, racing, or surfing is fun and a great all around workout. I’m a big believer in the idea that your workout should be fun. You shouldn’t dread getting outside and moving around. You should be super excited about getting out in the water and enjoying this amazing experience.
